The mullet, or five point star, refers to celestial guidance, the arm in armour to martial valour, the cross patée recalls chivalric and ecclesiastical orders, and the fleur-de-lis evokes the armiger’s French heritage.

The cross pattée is also representative of the armiger's hereditary as well as temporal membership and leadership across various orders of the Knights Templar including the United Templar Order of which the armiger is the current Grand Prior, a Collective Deposit of Fabré-Palaprat lineages of l'Ordre du Temple.

The crest consisting of a red and black eagle is symbolic of the inner journey and transmutation of spiritual as well as intellectual refinement.

The motto, Sanare et Ignoscere, can be translated to Heal and Forgive.
