The arms of
Leo Guarracino celebrate
the enduring spirit,
virtue, and heritage of
the Guarracino family,
whose origins lie in
Albanella in the
Province of Salerno,
Campania. Rooted in the
values of perseverance,
craftsmanship, and
honour, the design
unites agricultural,
maritime, and spiritual
symbolism reflective of
Southern Italy’s
cultural identity.
The shield Argent,
charged with a chevron
Vert bearing five
mullets Argent,
signifies hope,
aspiration, and
steadfast labour. The
chevron’s green hue
symbolises vitality and
growth, while the five
white stars represent
faith, guidance, and
perseverance through
adversity. Below, the
ship Proper recalls the
family’s ancestral ties
to the sea and
navigation — both
literal and symbolic —
reflecting courage,
adaptability, and the
pursuit of purpose. In
chief, the two lions
Gules represent courage,
integrity, and the
enduring strength of
family.
The crest, a lion Or
holding a cluster of
grapes Murray and
encompassed by a laurel
wreath Vert, embodies
both triumph and
humility. The golden
lion stands for noble
perseverance and virtue,
while the grapes signify
the fruits of labour and
Southern Italy’s
winemaking heritage. The
surrounding laurel
wreath, long a Roman
emblem of honour and
achievement, connects
the family to its
Italian lineage and
symbolises
accomplishment earned
through effort and
integrity.
The motto Labor Vincit
Omnia (“Work Conquers
All”) encapsulates the
defining virtue of the
family — that true
honour is not inherited
but earned through
perseverance, faith, and
honest work.
