These arms were designed as a modern family coat of arms to express the values and identity of a family whose history and present life are closely connected with navigation, travel, creation, and the establishment of enduring foundations across different lands.

The blue field (Azure) symbolises the sea, the open world, and rational thought. At the centre, the golden compass rose (Or) represents orientation, knowledge, and the ability to determine one’s own course independently, reflecting autonomy of judgment and strategic thinking. The red north point (Gules) signifies will, action, and the resolve to move forward once direction is known.

Above the compass, the eight-pointed star (Or) serves as a polar star — a constant and higher reference that guides the family’s path, symbolising continuity, long-term vision, and responsibility toward future generations.

Together, these elements express the idea of purposeful movement rather than aimless travel: to navigate with understanding, to build where one arrives, and to create lasting structures rather than temporary presence.

The motto, “SCIMUS QUO IMUS” (“We know where we are going”), encapsulates this philosophy by affirming clarity of direction, confidence in chosen paths, and commitment to deliberate and constructive action.

All rights to the design and its use are retained by the armiger. The images may be adapted in the future for different applications (such as seals, signet rings, standards, or flags), while preserving the essential heraldic features as defined in the registered blazon.
