The
crest is partly based on
the tale of 'The Knight
and the Pig' - a
children's story book
written by the armiger.
The piglet is a symbol
of innocence and Sable
was chosen to represent
stealth while the piglet
holding the moon
represents ingenuity.
The wings and rope
illustrate the achieving
of the impossible partly
through ingenuous means.
To the armiger, Argent
represents the thrill of
possibility.
The
serpent wrapped around
the legs of the piglet
and biting its tail
represents the achieving
of the impossible partly
through cunning and it
has other personal
significance to the
armiger. The armiger
chose Or as representing
the Divine.
On the shield, the
Argent stars were chosen
by the armiger to
represent hope with the
stars of Azure
signifying the romance
of adventure. The Azure
of the field represents
the night sky and
signifies “a warrior's
valour to seek truth
even in forbidden
places”.
The
plate at the centre of
the shield represents
the moon and its pull of
the armiger towards the
divine, with its gyronny
rays beckoning the
armiger towards the
mysterious.
The
lion represents courage
and nobility; the
courage to rule over
oneself, and if one must
rule over others, then
to do so at one's core
from the heart and not
from the ego. The
knocking ring represents
the need to keep seeking
until the thirst created
by the moon is quenched.
The
stars in the sky, the
night sky, the moon and
its rays all together
demonstrate the internal
and external world, and
the vastness of life -
that there is more to
life than what can be
seen.
The mountain represents
the journey that must be
taken to see what is
beyond the mountain, and
the desire to seek out
hidden places.
The
sculpting of the lion's
head on the cliff face
illustrates creativity,
dedication and
perseverance.
The shooting stars that
have landed on the
mountain represents the
taking of ideas from
one’s internal world and
bringing them down to
earth by forging them
into physical reality.
This shield serves more
than one purpose. Aside
from its purpose to
inspire the armiger, it
is a board game, which
reflects the armiger's
interest in games of all
kinds and their
mechanics and design,
and the shield is also a
portal. Creative and/or
intuitive individuals
can figure out how to
use both functions
(there is more than one
way to use both), or
create their own ways.
The armiger has an
interest in music and
the medieval history and
lore of England and
Japan.
