The Sphinx Couchant in Proper tincture (the metal, Or) is the primary symbol of the Military Intelligence Corps of the United States Army, representing omniscience and secrecy as well as service and career in that field. The Mullet of Six Argent represents the spur rowel of a knight, signifying service as a modern-day knight in the forms of law enforcement officer and military officer. Finally, the Cross Moline of the metal Or represents service as a military chaplain in the name of Jesus Christ as a minister of the Word of God.
