Craig Ryan Steepy

Registered: The International Register of Arms, 21st December 2012. Registration No. 0244 (Vol.2).

Arms: Per bend Azure and Sanguine, a bendlet Argent between in sinister chief three ancient ploughs in pale Proper and in dexter base a tree leaved, eradicated Argent.

Crest: A tun fesswise draped with grape vines leaved Proper fructed Purpure.

Motto: Quaerere De, Transire On.

Private Registration: American College of Heraldry, June 2012, Registration No. 3519.

The Arms of Craig
                                                Ryan Steepy

The arms are based on the arms of Richard Steepy ca. 1749 (Registration No. 0234, Vol.2). The three ploughs set against a blue background represent New Jersey and the origins of the Steepy family in America. The white band represents Richard’s service in the New Jersey Militia, (1793). The lower right with a white tree is the universal symbol for genealogy. The background colour, Sanguine is the Latin term for blood red and symbolizes genetic connection.

The crest, a barrel with grape vines, represents one of the Armiger’s specialties as a vintner.
