The Arms of Quentin
                                                Read Rakestraw

The armiger is descended from William Rakestraw, who came to North America from England as part of William Penn's settlement of Pennsylvania. Rustres in the arms are a canting reference to the Rakestraw surname.

The fox's head alludes to the Fox family of Philadelphia, whose patronage the Rakestraws enjoyed in the 18th Century. The armorial bearings were assumed in the 330th anniversary year of the Rakestraw family's arrival in the Province of Pennsylvania.
