until he
became Robert
I, King of
Scotland.
The
base follows
the family’s
tradition of
designing new
arms for the

by using a
charge from
their father’s
arms, in this
case the Azure
coronet with
the difference
of encrusting
it with opals
and pearls
(the opals
representing
the father’s
birth month
and the pearls
her mother’s
birth month).
