The Colours are the same as the colours of the American flag, which represents the armiger’s country.

The eagle has multiple meanings to the armiger; it the national symbol of the his country, he is an Eagle Scout, and the bird is believed to be of noble nature with strength, bravery, and alertness as well as being ingenious, quick-witted and judicious; the wings displayed are a symbol of protection, all character traits the armiger believes he possesses or aspires to.

The embowed dolphin is by some considered to be the kingfish in heraldry and was chosen by the armiger to represent a person “virtuous for himself, not because of his heritage; also unity with Christ, spiritual nourishment,” and the dolphin (kingfish) “swiftness, diligence, salvation”, The armiger and his family are faithful Christians, but also swimmers, ocean lovers and reside within walking distance from the Atlantic coast. The anchors are further symbols of their love of the sea and watercraft representing hope and religious steadfastness.

The crest of a Sea-Griffin is simply a combination of the two charges on the shield and was chosen to represent valor, death-defying bravery and vigilance, all traits which the armiger believes a virtuous man should have.

The motto “Virtue is the Strongest Shield” is meant to summarise all of the armorial symbolism – a belief that moral, ethical, strong and correct behaviour and actions are the best defence against anything.
