The
creation of these arms
was inspired by family
stories of noble
ancestry and by the
Armiger’s childhood
passion for knightly
traditions. Following
his move to Poland, this
lifelong dream was
officially realised,
with the aim of uniting
the family and
preserving ancestral
memory.
The
Sernovskyi family
lineage originates from
the Darnytsia District
of Kyiv, Ukraine. The
coat of arms is
registered in Poland by
Nova Heroldia under
registration number
270626. It is intended
as a hereditary symbol
of family identity,
honour, and moral
values, to be proudly
borne by the Armiger and
his direct descendants.
The
Capital Letter “S”:
Represents the family
name, Sernovskyi,
symbolising family
continuity and identity.
The Golden Hammer and
Pickaxe, pay direct
tribute to a proud
multi-generational
mining heritage,
specifically honouring
the Armiger’s father and
grandfather. They
symbolise hard work,
perseverance, and
solidarity.
The
Open Oak Wreath is
inspired by the ancient
Roman corona civica, it
represents civic virtue,
resilience, solidarity,
and strength of
character. The Sword,
pointing downwards
symbolises justice,
peace, and the defence
of family honour.
Together with the oak
wreath, it also
represents the
protection of life and
the willingness to help
others, reflecting a
long-standing family
tradition of voluntary
blood donation and
service to others.
Vert
(green) is the favourite
colour of the family and
signifies life, growth,
and hope. Sable (black)
represents constancy and
wisdom. Or (gold)
represents generosity,
dignity, and spiritual
richness.
The
Sernovskyi coat of arms
stands as a lasting
symbol of family unity,
remembrance, and respect
for ancestors, guided by
the family motto:
“Justice - Hope -
Honour”.
