The Arms of Bertus
                                                Antonius Alfredo

These arms were designed by Henk T Jong.

The armiger was born in Amsterdam on January 26, 1966, son of Gerardus Johannes van Emmerloot and Henriėtte Maria Wilms.

The arms descend to all of the descendants of the oldest known ancestor of the armiger; Theodorus Jans (also Dirck Joannis), born in 1708 in Emmeloord, Schokland and died April 30, 1769 in Emmeloord, Schokland.

The shield is parted into Azure and Sable symbolising the sea and land with the Argent waves representing the floods that forced the family to leave Schokland.

The crest represents the lantern of the harbour, which is still present at the re-claimed island of Schokland.
