The Fleur-de-Lys is a nod to the Scout Arrowhead and to Our Lady to whom the Armiger has an especial devotion. The Cross is a symbol of his Christian Faith. The Crest is based upon his love of cats.

The armiger married his husband, Andrew McFarland Campbell, on 12 July 2016 in Dublin and now also uses a shield with his husband's arms in the sinister (Pean a Polar Bear (ursus maritimus) statant Argent). On marriage, the armiger changed his surname from "Carchrie Campbell" to "McFarland Campbell".
