Arms:  Argent; a fess Gules surmounted by a double headed Eagle displayed Sable armed and membered Gules clawed and each head crowned Or on its breast two Keys saltire-wise wards outwards and upwards Or behind an open Book proper charged with the Roman letters IHS Sable; on a Chief Azure, three Fleur-de-Lis Or.

Crest: Issuing from a Coronet Or; a double-headed Eagle displayed Sable armed and membered Gules clawed and each head crowned Or holding in the dexter claw a Sword Argent hilted and pommelled Or in the sinister claw a Book open proper charged with the Roman letters IHS Sable.

Motto: Ad Mortem, Credo

Certification: July 9, 2001: Certification of Arms by H.E. Don Vicente de Cadenas y Vicent, Cronista Rey de Armas and Registered with Royal Ministry of Justice, Kingdom of Spain.

Primate of the Old Catholic Confederation and Archbishop of the United States, the Armiger is a direct descendant of Don Umberto Pio de Paulo dei Paolone, whose Arms were first assumed the middle of the 12th century by Don Giovanni de Paulo, Barone del Regno di Napoli e Nobile di Sessa, under Guglielmo II, Norman King of Naples. The Arms were recognized in 1782 by the Court of H.M. Ferdinando I, King of the Two Sicilies (Italia) and Certified by the Heralds of the Kingdom of Spain and Registered with the Royal Ministry of Justice in 2001 and 2003.

The Archbishop is a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Royal House of Savoy of Italy and a Knight of Merit (of Honour) with Star of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George of the Royal House of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies (Kingdom of Spain).

A recognized philosopher, theologian and scholar, His Grace is also Chancellor and John Macquarrie Professor of Philosophy and Theology at the Collegium Augustinianum Graduate School of Philosophy and Theology. Archbishop de Paulo is married to Catherine Conroy de Paulo, and they have one son, Christian de Paulo, the armiger’s heir.
