The Arms of Robery
                                                Samuel Blevens

The butterfly and sunflower represent respectively the places of birth of the armiger (official insect of California) and his spouse Judith Marie Holzhey (official flower of Kansas).

The oil lamp represents education and the fact that the armiger and his spouse met in college. The heart, cross and lyre represent the three bonds of their marriage (and their three children), viz. love, faith, and music.
