                                              Volker Brossok

All descendants of Daniel Martin Brossok (1732-1803) are entitled to use these arms provided they still bear the family name of the founder of the coat of arms.

The eagle standing in the shield symbolizes the name Brossok, Brossok = Prussian (naming by origin to Polish Prusak 'Prussian' for an inhabitant of Prussia or also for a German in general).; the eagle is also a reference to Upper and Lower Silesia.

The scales and the sword of the crest are reminiscent of the first documented occupation in the family, that of lawyer. The double-warded key in the crest is based on the key from the town of Trebnitz coat of arms. The crescent moon at the bottom of the key is taken from the Silesian coat of arms.

The motto may be paraphrased as The Spirit is Free.
