The arms were assumed by Dr. Andrew Andersen and his son Lars Andersen on the 9th of November, 2010, in Victoria (British Columbia, Canada). The Andersen descendants assumed these arms as an additional link to the lands of their ancestors. The mixture of motifs derived from the Polish noble clan arms Rawicz (the riding maiden) Bończa (the unicorn) and Jastrzębiec (the cross and the horseshoe) reflects the armiger's descent via female lines. The motifs in the crest (the antlers and the falcon’s head) reflect the armiger’s descent via the direct male line from the subjects of a few now non-existent smaller kingdoms who did not have personal arms of their own but the antlers and the falcon head were the symbols of those vanished states.
