The arms of Glenn
                                              Newton
The arms of the Newton family are designed to reflect the core values of knowledge, resilience, innovation, and heritage. The shield features symbols representing both intellectual pursuit and practical skill, uniting tradition with modern identity.

The principal charge of
an Australian native animal, symbolises strength, endurance, and a deep connection to the land. Its inclusion acknowledges both the family’s Australian identity and Aboriginal heritage, representing respect for the oldest continuous culture in the world and the enduring spirit of the continent.

The gear wheel represents engineering, signifying craftsmanship, problem-solving, and the family’s connection to mechanical and technical disciplines. This speaks of a legacy of building, creating, and improving, embodying both industry and ingenuity.
The vernier calliper Or surmounting the gearwheel also represents the family's long historical connection with black smithing, mechanics and engineering.

The rolled scroll is an emblem of knowledge, learning, and the pursuit of wisdom, representing the importance of education, reflection, and the passing of knowledge through generations, reinforcing the family’s commitment to growth and understanding.

The colour palette follows traditional heraldic meanings: gold (Or) for generosity and elevation of the mind  and green (Vert) for growth, renewal, and connection to the land; the connection to the land is an important part of the armiger's heritage and the colour Vert
signifies endurance, renewal, and a strong bond to country, grounding the arms in place and identity..

The motto
Scientiam Et Virtutem, a Latin phrase translating to "Knowledge and Virtue" (or "Knowledge and Character"),  reinforces the guiding principle of the arms; a commitment to knowledge, virtue, and strength through action. It serves as both a reminder and a declaration of the values upheld by the family.

Together, these elements form a coherent achievement that honours heritage, celebrates identity, and projects the enduring values of the Newton family into future generations.
